Nerea Martí starts her preseason with W Series in London

W Series starts the 2020 preseason with a development programme for all drivers who will be racing this year. This event, which has already taken place in London, has served the participants to develop physical, psychological and communication skills during four days. In addition, they have had the opportunity to meet great stars and experts from the sport ́s world.

Physical training, psychological tests, nutrition advice and communication classes have been some of the tasks that the W Series programme had prepared for the drivers. “Working all these aspects has helped me to have an extraordinary preseason start” said Nerea Martí at the end of the week in London.

“It is a pleasure that major figures from the sport ́s world have come to give us advice and motivate us with their words” Nerea pointed out while explaining that during those four days, they shared experiences with professionals such as the olympic medalist Jessica Ennis-Hill, or the netball player Ama Agbeze, who, in addition to sharing her wisdom, prepared physical training sessions for them. The surprises did not end there as the 20 drivers received a masterclass from the billiard legend, Jimmy White.

After those four intensive days with the whole team, Nerea had the opportunity to visit the W Series facilities where she trained on the simulator, in some of the circuits she will be racing at, this season. ”Preparing the races on the simulator helps me to get to know the circuits in depth”, said this young driver.

“I am committed to perform my best in order to be 100% ready for this new sport stage with W series”

W Series 2020 start their season on the 30th of May at the new Igora Drive circuit in Russia and will close on the 31st of October in Mexico together with Formula 1.
